Dr Amir is Board Certified in both Dermatology and Internal Medicine. He is also a fellowship trained MOHS Surgeon and a procedural dermatologist.
He specializes in treatment of general skin diseases, skin cancer and melanoma. He received his dermatology training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia and subsequently trained in Mohs surgery and cosmetic dermatology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine Hospital in New York.
His area of special expertise is in both surgical and non surgical treatment of skin cancer and melanoma. He has been fellowship trained at world renowned Mount Sinai School of Medicine, under Dr Ellen Marmur and Dr David Kriegel in the Mohs skin cancer surgery and Melanoma Surgery.
He has spent considerable time training with leading cosmetic dermatologists in New York City to perform facial rejuvenation with the use of various lasers, soft tissue fillers, Botox and combination treatments for aging skin and face. He is also well trained in performing body reshaping and resculpting with liposuction.
He is well versed in the use of multiple lasers for anti-aging, acne scarring, melasma, rosacea, blood vessels, and hair removal. He is experienced with the Fraxel, Titan, VBeam, and Nd:Yag lasers.
He has presented at many premier dermatology meetings and has published a number of journal articles in his field. He was the recipient of the prestigious “Stelwagon Award” by the College of Physicians of Philadelphia for his outstanding research projects during residency. He graduated at the top of his medical school class earning his place in the role of honor list. His academic achievements were acknowledged by being awarded with several gold and silver medals during his medical school.
He is a Diplomate of The American Board of Dermatology, The American Board of Internal Medicine, and a Fellow of American Academy of Dermatology and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
